Installation instructions
1 General Description
The 2-Way door / window sensor offers protection against opening doors
and windows. In additon, the sensor incorporates a high-security anti-
sabotage feature.
2 Quick Device Allocation
The door / window magnet must identify itself to the WiComm Smart Hub.
This can be performed either using the RISCO Express Wizard
(www.riscocloud.com/express) by adding the extra sensor at the time of the
Smart Hub system installation or later either by using the “Settings” on the
Web (www.riscocloud.com) or using the WiComm Smart Hub, as follows:
1.
Press the
button on the WiComm Smart Hub for 5 seconds; the
unit beeps once as it enters Learn mode (all the LEDs also light up,
one after the other).
2.
Detach the back of the sensor from the mounting bracket (See Figures
3A and 3B)
3.
Remove sensor’s red battery isolation strip (See Figure 2)
4.
Put back the mounting bracket to send a signal transmission; the
WiComm Smart Hub beeps once to accept or beeps three times to reject.
Once accepted, the system announces the device type and its zone (for
example, “Sensor, zone 1”).
5.
To complte allocation momentarily pressWiComm Smart Hub button
. A short beep is heard and the LEDs stop flashing.
6. Mount
the
detector

You can change the zone labels through the
www.riscocloud.com
website (for details, see the Reference Manual).
Note:
For future use, it is recommended to write down the sensor
description, zone number, and installation location of each allocated
detector.
3 Mounting the Door / Window Sensor
You can mount the door / window
sensor either using screws or adhesive
tapes.
Select a location best suited for
communication quality. RISCO
recommends placing the unit at the
highest possible position.

1. Peel the two-sided adhesive tapes from the sensor and magnet and
temporarily attach the unit to this point.

2. Generate an alarm signal and verify that the receiver has received the
signal. If the alarm signal is not detected, reposition the sensor and try
again.
Mounting with Screws
1. Detach the back of the sensor from the mounting bracket (Fig. 2A). At
mounting location note the alignment marks for both components (Fig.
2B), and then install accordingly using 2 mounting screws and back
tamper screw (Fig 2C).
2. Detach magnet casing (Fig. 2D) and install with mounting screws (Fig
2E).

Notes:
1. It’s best to mount the
transmitter on the non-moving
part (door/window frame),
and the magnet on the
moving part.
2. The mark on the magnet's
case must be aligned with
the mark on the
transmitter's case (Fig. 3).
4 Replacing Battery
1.
Release screw using a Phillips screwdriver (A) and then insert a flathead
screwdriver into the slot and twist to open cover (B).
