How it operates
The heat pump operates by transferring the energy from the ambient outside air into the
water. Electricity is used to operate the system, but not to heat the water, so less electricity is
used.
The Rinnai hot water heat pump is made up of two separate components; a heat pump and a water storage
tank. The heat pump unit includes a circulation pump which draws water from the storage tank and returns it to
the tank at a higher temperature. A temperature sensor in the tank is used to control the heat pump operation.
