Operation
The Rifton Blue Wave bath chair is intended for use in a bathtub or shower. Its adjustability
and accessories enable bathing for clients with a wide range of disabilities. The seat
and backrest are angle adjustable to accommodate positioning needs. Head blocks,
chest straps and leg straps are designed for the safety of the client and must be carefully
adjusted for comfort and security. The frame legs can be placed securely in two positions
to raise or lower the bath chair prior to use. Frame legs are inserted into sockets when
the bath chair is positioned onto the tub or shower stand prior to use. The optional tub
stand is designed to raise bath chair height for an improved working position of the
caregiver. The optional shower stand places the bath chair on wheels at standing height
for the caregiver, for use in a shower. (See pp 6 – 12 for detailed instructions on product
adjustments.)
