4.10 Calibration of the thermal relay
The thermal relay serves to avoid damage to the motor due to an
excessive absorption increase or if a phase is missing.
Refer to the table in wiring diagram No. 5 of Appendix A for the
calibration.
The protection is in any case ensured even if the minimum value of the
thermal relay scale is over the rating absorption of the motor.
This occurs when the motor power supply is 400 V / 460V.
To reset, in case of an intervention of the thermal relay, press button 1)
of Fig. 21.
The RS 70-100-130/M models leave the factory pre-set for
400 V
power supply.
If
230 V
power supply is used, change the motor connection from star
to delta and change the setting of the thermal relay as well.
The RS 70-100-130/M models leave the factory precept for
380-460V
power supply.
If
208-230V
power supply is used, change the motor connection (from star to delta) and change the setting of the thermal relay as
well.
