On initial start-up and at least every year, check that
all the pumps in the system rotate freely. Sludge and
lime scale can build up and cause seizure, espe-
cially after long periods of disuse.

Protect all electrical devices under the pump before
you unscrew the inspection cap just in case water
comes out.

Never run the pump dry.
