IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Always turn off gas at the propane cylinder (liquid propane

also called liquid petroleum gas) when the product is not

in use. Disconnect the cylinder before storage.

Before storing, allow the product to cool for 30 minutes

and remove propane cylinder from the unit. Do not store

a propane cylinder attached to or near the product. If not

followed exactly, a fire causing death or serious injury may

occur.

Inspect the hose for damage before each use. If it is

evident there is excessive abrasion or wear, or the hose

is cut, it must be replaced prior to the product being put

into operation. The replacement hose assembly shall be

that specified by the manufacturer. Use only replacement

hose part no. TYQ-5B1-QG005.

This heater must be located on stable and level surface

and located away from combustible surfaces by no less

than 24 inches from rear and sides of heater and 72 inches

from above and front outlet of heater.

Never fill the propane cylinder beyond 80 percent full. An

overfilled or improperly stored cylinder is a hazard due

to possible gas release from the safety release valve. If

not followed exactly, a fire causing death or serious injury

may occur.

Only use a propane cylinder that includes a collar to

protect the cylinder valve.

If a leak is detected at any time, get away from the

propane cylinder and call the fire department.

Do not use the product until leak-tested.

Propane cylinders must be stored outdoors out of reach

of children and must not be stored in a building, garage,

or any other closed in area.

WORK AREA



Keep your work area clean and well lit.

Cluttered

benches and dark areas invite accidents.



Do not operate propane heaters in explosive atmo-

spheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,

gases, or dust.

 Propane heaters create sparks which

may ignite the dust or fumes.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY



A battery operated product with integral batteries or

a separate battery pack must be recharged only with

the specified charger for the battery.

A charger that

may be suitable for one type of battery may create a risk

of fire when used with another battery.



Use battery operated product only with specifically

designated battery pack.

Use of any other batteries

may create a risk of fire.



Use this product only with batteries and chargers listed
in tool/appliance/battery pack/charger correlation
supplement 988000-302

.



Protect the power cord from being walked on or

pinched particularly at plugs, convenience recep-

tacles, and the point where they exit from the product.



Unplug this product during lightning storms or when

when not in use.

PERSONAL SAFETY



Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.

Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves

away from moving parts.

Loose clothes, jewelry, or long

hair can be caught in moving parts.



Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is in the

locked or off position before inserting battery pack or

extension cord.

Carrying the product with your finger on

the switch or inserting the battery pack or extension cord

into the product with the switch on invites  accidents.



Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance

at all times.

Proper footing and balance enable better

control of the product in unexpected situations.



Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long

hair.

Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be drawn

into air vents.



Do not use on a ladder or unstable support.

Stable

footing on a solid surface enables better control of the

product in unexpected situations.

PROPANE HEATER USE AND CARE



Do not use the product if switch does not turn it on or

off.

A product that cannot be controlled with the switch

is dangerous and must be repaired.



Disconnect battery pack or extension cord from

the product or place the switch in the locked or off

position before making any adjustments, changing

accessories, or storing the product.

 Such preventive

safety measures reduce the risk of starting the product

accidentally.



When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from

other metal objects like: paper clips, coins, keys, nails,

screws, or other small metal objects that can make

a connection from one terminal to another.

 Shorting

the battery terminals together may cause sparks, burns,

or a fire.



Keep the product and its handle dry, clean and free

from oil and grease.

Always use a clean cloth when

cleaning. Never use brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-

based products, or any strong solvents to clean your

product. Following this rule will reduce the risk of loss of

control and deterioration of the enclosure plastic.



To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use this

product near water, especially when it is powered by

the power cord.



Clean only with dry cloth.



Do not operate near any other heat sources such as

radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus

(including amplifiers) that produce heat.

SERVICE



Propane heater service must be performed only by
qualified repair personnel.

Service or maintenance

performed by unqualified personnel may result in a risk
of injury.
