Folding Stand Instructions

WARNING

Description

RIDGID

®

250 Threader Stand is used to mount and support the

300 Compact and 1233 Threading Machines.
The stand folds easily for storage and is equipped with wheels
for easy transportation of machines.

Stand

Assembly

1. The stand is shipped in folded position and secured with

a tie. To open, firmly grip the stand inner leg/ handle
and remove the tie. The gas springs will raise the stand.

The stand may spring up quickly, be alert and

keep a safe distance to avoid injury.

2. Locate the stand on a clear, level, stable location.
3. Using appropriate lifting and holding methods, carefully

place the threading machine on stand with carriage
toward the gas struts.

4. Position J-shaped rear brackets on rear of machine such

that hooks face gas struts and wrap securely around
horizontal support of stand outer leg. Attach with 10mm
hex bolts. Tighten securely.

5. Position front bracket such that machine oil drain plug is

aligned with drain plughole on plate. Latch handles
should be locked into raised position holes on inner leg of
stand. Attach bracket with 10mm hex bolts. Tighten
securely.

6. Confirm machine is securely mounted.

Inspection/Maintenance

Clean the stand to aid inspection and improve control. Inspect
the stand before each use for proper assembly, wear, damage,
modification or other issues that could affect safe use. If any
problems are found, do not use until corrected.
Lubricate all moving parts/joints as needed with light lubricat-
ing oil. Wipe up excess oil.

Set Up and Operatio

n

1. Always use the stand in clear, level, stable locations.

Before raising, lowering or moving, make sure all equip-
ment and material is removed from the machine or prop-
erly secured to prevent falling or tipping. Make sure the
switch is OFF and the cord unplugged.

2. To raise or lower Model 250 with machine mounted,

stand at carriage end of machine. Squeeze latch handles
together to disengage from holes. Pull up on stand inner
leg/ handle to raise. Push down on handle to lower.

3. Engage latch handles with the holes in the leg. Align

the roll pin with the slot in the front bracket and rotate the
handle flush with the front bracket.

Transporting

1. Install the Oil Seal Pressure Plate. If not available, drain

the oil from the machine.

2. Lower the stand, lift and push with inner legs (handles) to

move over smooth, level surfaces.

3. To load, place inner legs on truck bed. Lift back of

machine and slide onto truck.

Machine and stand weigh approximately 160

pounds (73 kg). Two people or proper equipment may be
needed to load.
