2-8 Advanced Features for Printing in Host System Environment
Supporting connection and printing the data come from backyard host system has become important
year-by-year especially in major account and global account business.
For recent years, we have been teaming-up several projects and conducting field survey consulting
internal stuff such as system engineers, field pre-sales specialists, global account sales who are
deeply involved in major account and global account business deals and who receive the several
requirements related to host printing. With these activities, some of the advanced features have been
adopted as standard function.
2-9 New PCL Resident Font Adoption: Cyrillic (Russian), Greek, Hebrew & Arabic
Since Model G130 series LP and the later GW printers, "International Fonts" can be printed in the host
environment.
By the same method as HP, Arabic, Cyrillic, Greek and Hebrew fonts can be designated as default font.
Arabic and Hebrew can be designated by operation panel.
Cyrillic and Greek can be set by PCL command.
Windows and Mac users need not designate these fonts as default.

Customer Benefit
The customers, who use these language characters, do not have to pay additional cost of HDD to
install these fonts in the machine separately.
And also the global major account customers who has branch office in Russia, Greek and Middle East
countries has requirement to print data that contains their local language font.
