Basic Operation

1. POWER SUPPLY

AC Operation

•  Insert one end of the supplied AC power cord into the AC IN socket 

located at the back of the radio and insert the other end into the wall 

outlet and switch on. The radio will automatically go into standby 

mode when connecting to AC power.

•  To disconnect the radio from the AC supply completely, unplug the 

AC power cord plug from the wall outlet and from the back of the 

radio.

DC (battery) Operation

•  To operate your radio on batteries, the AC adaptor must be 

disconnected from the radio and wall socket. If not, the unit will 

continue to operate on AC power, instead of DC batteries.

•  Insert 3 batteries, type R14, UM2 or C cells (not included) into 

battery compartment and then close the compartment cover.

Warning

: When planning not to use the radio for prolonged periods of 

time (i.e., a vacation) disconnect the plug from the wall outlet.

Note

: Check your batteries regularly. Old or discharged batteries 

should be replaced. If the unit is not to be used for some time or is 

being used exclusively on AC main power supply, remove the batteries 

from the battery compartment to avoid leakage.

2. NORMAL OPERATION

•  Press and hold the 

POWER/MODE

 button to switch the radio on. 

When your radio is switched on for the first time it will automatically 

enter the DAB mode and perform a Full Auto Scan.

•  To change mode Quick press 

POWER/MODE

 button once or more 

to select FM, AM, or DAB. The display shows the radio station 

details throughout the radio mode.

•  To search for other stations continue to press the    /    button until 

you find the station that you want to listen to then press 

SELECT

 

button to confirm the station selection.

•  To adjust the volume press either 

VOL-

 or 

VOL+

 to decrease or 

increase the volume.
