Make sure each space between Main Frame and
Upper/Lower Gate Lock is evenly placed so that
the tension spring effect works properly.
l
Place the product against sturdy wall surfaces
(locate studs) to prevent damage to the wall surface.
l
Make sure sides of body are parallel to the wall (Fig. 7).
l
Be sure to install the product correctly to ensure the Gate
Door locks securely.
l
The bottom of product should make contact on the floor
(Fig. 1).
l
If correctly installed, the product should not feel loose or
wobbly when tugged.
l
Make sure both Upper and Lower Gate Locks are locked
when the Gate Door is closed.
l
Grip and lift the Upper Gate Lock so that the Gate Door is
opened by releasing Upper and Lower Gate Locks (Fig. 8).
l
The product is designed to lock automatically when closed.
If too much or too little force is used when closing, the Gate
Door may not lock.
l
Use mild detergent and water, and clean with soft cloth
or sponge. Do not use scrub brush or abrasive scouring
materials.
l
Do not use disinfectant such as cresol.
l
Never use harsh chemicals such as thinner, benzin or
alcohol.
l
After cleaning, do not dry the product in direct sunlight.
Place in shade to dry.
Rotate Adjuster Knobs counterclockwise and loosen
Adjuster Bolts.
Note

Be careful not to drop the product when removing.
l
Be sure the Gate Door is locked when removing.

Determine the direction for opening the Gate Door and
prepare the product for mounting by tightening the Upper
Adjuster Knobs temporarily (Fig. 1).

Set the product against the wall (Fig. 2).

Tighten the Lower Adjuster Knobs until the clearance
between the Gate Door and the Main Frame is set to
1.8" (4.5 cm) and under as shown in Fig. 3.

Make sure the Main Frame remains vertical to the wall.

Tighten the Upper Adjuster Knob on side of gate
opposite to Upper Gate Lock until the space between
the Main Frame and the Lower Gate Lock is 0.08-0.12"
(2-3 mm) (Fig. 4).

Tighten the Upper Adjuster Knob on side of Upper
Gate Lock until the space between Main Frame and
Upper Gate Lock is 0.04-0.08"(1-2 mm) (Fig. 5).

Make sure the sides of body are parallel to the wall
(Fig. 6).

Make sure the clearance between each part is set
properly and the Adjuster Knob is tightened securely.
