USING RIATA RAKE FENCE BLADE OPTION:
Optionally available is our fence blade kit
(5RR1108A023A). The fence blade is used for
removing footing buildup along the rail of your
arena. Periodical maintenance along the rail will
ensure that you do not develop a "bowl" in the
arena thus eliminating one of the major causes
for arena deterioration: standing water.
When using the fence blade attachment, always
adjust your tines up away from the footing using
the ratchet jack before beginning.
Place the blade in working position (see figure
1a & 1b) at the fixed depth. Be sure all adjust-
ment wing nuts are secure. Attach visablity flag
using the 2 washers and coupling nut (comes
with kit) to the fence blade wheel bolt to en-
hance visablity from tractor cab.
Raise or lower the fence blade using the top link
to further adjust the depth of your blade. The
blade is designed to be level with the footing
surface when the Riata Rake mast is vertical.
NOTE: be sure to re-level the mast before
you condition with the tines after clearing
your rail.
