Below are the 2 positions in which the carriers can be
fi tted to suit various kayak / canoe shapes. When using
the tie down straps provided please fasten as shown
below. After securing the kayak or canoe, check the
load for safety.

Insert the rubber kayak / canoe support pad cut out into
the carrier housing locating bar.

Please Note:
The maximum permissible roof load must not be exceeded (see vehicle hand book for details of
the maximum roof load).
The roof load comprises the weight of the basic rack plus the additional accessory and load itself.
Check that the rack system is securely fi tted before each trip and at regular intervals.
Sensitivity to cross winds, behaviour in curves and braking:
The handling of the vehicle changes when transporting a load on the roof. For safety reasons,
we recommend you exercise extreme care transporting wind resistant loads.
