INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on the purchase of your new REVOX hi-fi loudspeakers, and thank you for
your trust in our high-quality products.
To enjoy an excellent sound quality in your home, carefully read the following instructions
before fi rst-time operation.
Designed for maximum placement fl exibility as well as versatility, the ELEGANCE A-1 speakers
permit a variety of installation options with equal ease.
Cable Length, Type and Cross-Section
Your specialized dealer holds ready loudspeaker cables in different confi gurations
and cross-sections and will gladly consult you individually.
Particularly at wall-mounting the desire for an „invisible“ cable exists. Hence we
recommend to use very fl at whites cables (e.g. the monitor power cable Slim Line,
white, Ø 1,5 mm2 from: in-akustik, D-79282 Ballrechten-Dottingen).
In order to minimize the waste, however, we recommend to dimension the
cross-sections of the cables as follows:
Up to 5 m: Ø 1.5 mm

Up to 10 m: Ø 2.5 mm

Over 10 m: Ø 4.0 mm

We dissuade from greater cable lengths (from about 20 m) because of inevitable
losses for the HIFI playback.
Power Capacity
The specifi cation of the power capacity on the rating-plates of your Revox speakers
relate to tone controls on the amplifi er set to linear. It‘s possible to operate these
speakers with amplifi ers whose output power is higher.
Thereby, however, it must be observed that the volume is turned up just so high
that the ear - mostly reliable - notifi es a congestion. This indication utters itself in
time by a strong bulge of distortions. Your Revox loudspeakers will not be damaged
by a short-term overstress.
Damage of loudspeaker drivers due to overload can easily be determined by the
service personnel. In such cases, you are not entitled to any warranty work.
