Remote
The display shows the information on the vibration frequency, grinding time and temperature of
the thermal plates.
For more information on connecting the device to the WLAN module and controlling the
device via remote, please refer to the separate Retschbox operating instructions.
7.13.3 Signalling device
The signalling device on the device can be switched on or off using this section.
The signalling device generates an acoustic signal as soon as a grinding process finishes.
7.13.4 Temperature drift
Use this option to set a permissible temperature difference between the left and right thermal
plate.
The permissible temperature difference can be set in 5 °C steps between 5 °C and 50 °C. In the
factory default setting, this option is switched off (“OFF”).
The MM 500 control offers the option to measure the temperature of the right and left thermal
plate and thus to provide a comparison between those temperatures.
If the load is balanced (including grinding jar volume, sample and number of balls), an
approximately balanced temperature can be expected. However, if the temperatures on the left
and right deviate more than they are supposed to be, the device issues
the message “H46”. The
H46 message can be acknowledged without stopping the process. The user can then decide
whether the temperature deviation is still permissible for his process. The prerequisite for this is
that the
user has defined a permissible temperature difference in the “Settings” menu.
