1. To fit the optional back-up battery, place the battery

in the compartment provided and connect the battery

leads red to red (+) and black to black (-).

2. In the event of mains failure the green power indicator

will now flash, showing that the Control Unit is

powered by battery only.

3. Close the Control Unit cover and hold it firmly closed

whilst securing the two retaining screws.

SETTING YOUR ACCESS
CODE

The Control Unit is supplied with a preset Access

Code of                                  .

However, for security reasons, it is essential that you

immediately change the Access Code to another four-

digit number which only you and other occupants of

the premises know (usually a number with a personal

significance is easier to remember).

IMPORTANT NOTE

If the Control Unit is powered down, (eg no

mains or battery) the Access Code will return to

and you will have to re-programme

it again to your own Access Code.  If you should forget

your Access Code, you will need to completely power

down the control unit and  then re-apply power to the

Control Unit.  However, you may change the Access

Code at any time using the following procedure (except

when in Test mode).

To  change your Access Code, open the hinged

keypad cover.

1. Press

2. Enter                                       or your current Access

Code if applicable.

3. Press

4. Enter new Access Code

5. Press

6. The Control Unit Siren will emit two rapid ‘bleeps’

to indicate acknowledgment of new Access Code.

7. From now on, only the new Access Code will

operate the system.

Note:  Do not pause more than 5 seconds between

pressing keys, otherwise the code change will not be

accepted and you will need to start the programming

sequence again from the beginning.

SETTING THE CONTROL
UNIT TO TEST MODE

Before installing the Passive Infra Red or Magnetic

Contact Detectors you should set the Control Unit to

Test mode.  This will help to ensure that the correct

House Code is used and to establish the radio range.

1. Enter                                           at the keypad.

2. The system is now in Test mode.

3. The yellow indicator light will be illuminated.

4. When a Detector is operated, the Control Unit will

sound for 3 seconds and the red Alarm Activated

light will illuminate and indicate the zone of operation.

The Control Unit should be left in Test mode whilst the

detectors and other accessories are set up and

installed.  However, if you wish to exit the Test mode,

enter                                          at the Control Unit to

revert to normal, Disarmed mode.

SETTING THE EXIT, ENTRY
AND AUTO STOP TIMERS

EXIT TIME

When you arm the system, by entering your Access

Code at the Control Unit keypad, the system will

ignore Detectors for a preset delay time to allow you

to leave the premises.  During the delay period (Full

Arm or Part Arm), the Control Unit sounder will emit

either two short bleeps at the beginning and two short

bleeps at the end of the delay period (Semi-Silent

Mode) or a continuous tone throughout the delay

period, depending on the setting of miniature switch 9

in the Control Unit as previously described.
