5.3.4 Menu Functions
) is the primary control point for the SeaBat 8160
system. To modify items on this menu or on any sub-menus, place the mouse
pointer over the item to be modified. A box will appear around the title and value.
To change the value:
Click the right mouse button to increase the value.
Click the left mouse button to decrease the value.
Hold the center mouse button while clicking the left or right mouse
button to increase or decrease values at a faster rate.
NOTE
There are five separate menus that may be found in the Menu Block. Those
are: Main, Ocean, Display, Filters, and Off.
5.3.5 Activate the BITE Display
The SeaBat 8160
includes a Built-In Test Environment (BITE) display that shows
diagnostic and configuration information about the current sonar session. The
BITE button (see
) will always be one of three colors:
Green
indicates normal operation.
Yellow
indicates that some levels are out of compliance or improperly
calibrated, but the system is still in operation.
Red
indicates that the system has malfunctioned and is no longer
operational.
To diagnose problems or view status, activate the BITE display by clicking the
“BITE” button at the top left corner of the screen. (See
section 5.9 Built-In Test
for more information on this function.)
