4.0 Operation
3.1 Function
The compressor compresses atmospheric air to a high pressure at the means of the compressor. After this the
air is stored in the tank unit. Now the stored compressed air can be used as propellant for tools (Please see
3.2)
3.2 Use
The compressor should primarily be used as propellant for tools such as air impact wrenches, air drills, air
sanders, air polishers, air spray guns, air screw drivers. In addition the compressor can be used for control-
ling feeding systems for breeding animals or propellant for other production facilities. If the compressor is
used for other purposes please contact a Reno dealer.
It is of great importance that the user of the compressor knows the capacity of the compressor in proportion
to the tools which is being used. It is essential that there is a harmony between the compressors` delivered
air and the tools` air consumption.. If there is a disharmony the compressor can be overloaded.
3.3 Limitation of use
The compressor can not directly be used for respiration purposes. The air in the compressor is not clean
enough. If questions regarding compressed air for respiration should appear please contact Reno.
4.1 Placement
The compressor can be placed all over where it is dry. In order to secure the maximum air intake the distance
between the compressor and the wall should not be less than 20 cm. In addition it is recommended that the
compressor is placed in a cool room.
4.2 Start/stop-procedure
Connect electricity and start the compressor by turning the switch on the pressure switch.
Please note!
when
the compressor is to be turned off always turn the knob on the pressure switch. (as the pressure is shut off
please check if the compressor ventilates through the pressure switch. - after ventilation it is more easy to
restart the compressor due to less resistance. When the compressor is used for the first time the rotation
direction of the flywheel should be checked. The rotation must follow the direction indicated by the red
arrow on the motor. If the rotation direction is not correct the phase must be turned. In case of this please
contact an electrician. When using the compressor for the first time sometimes oil will leak. This is normal.
At all time the oil glass should be 1/2 filled.
