Inserting batteries, changing batteries

•  Open the battery compartment at the rear of the presenter and insert two type AAA/Micro batteries

with the correct polarity (please note: plus/+ and minus/-).

On initial start-up of the presenter remove the small USB receiver which is located in a com-

partment under the battery compartment cover.

  Reclose the battery compartment.
•  It is recommended changing the battery when the wireless range is greatly reduced if the computer no

longer reacts to the control commands of the presenter.

Removing/storing the USB receiver

The USB receiver is located in a compartment under the battery compartment cover. Open the battery

compartment cover and remove the USB receiver. Reclose the battery compartment.
When transporting or storing the presenter reinsert the USB receiver into the presenter so that the small

USB receiver is not lost.

Operation

•  Start the operating system (e.g. at least Windows 2000/XP or later).
•  Connect the USB receiver to the computer. The operating system recognizes the new hardware (USB

keyboard and USB mouse) and installs the necessary driver (included in the operating system).

•  The product is ready for operation on concluding the driver installation.

Operation

•  The presenter is activated on pressing any key. The presenter automatically switches itself off after ap-

proximately 3 minutes of not being used to save power. The blue LED on the presenter goes out. Simply

press any key to reactivate.

If the receiver is out of range (of if the PC is shut down), the blue LED flashes on the presenter.

After a while the presenter switches itself off to save power. The LED goes out.

•  The rippled surface at the upper end of the presenter serves as a touchpad, similar to a notebook. The

left/right mouse button is identified with an image.

•  The other control keys correspond with those on a conventional multimedia keyboard (e.g. set volume

or play/pause, switch PC on/off, home function for browser and displaying the menu functions of the

operating system).

The control pad conforms with the cursor keys of a conventional keyboard, the “OK” key is covered by

the function of the Enter Key.

The “PgUp” and “PgDn” keys control the page up/page down keys of the normal PC keyboard, for

instance when displaying pages of a presentation software.

Maintenance and cleaning

Apart from the occasional battery change the product is maintenance free. There are no components

inside the product which need to be maintained by you.
To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. Touching the housing too hard (special trans-

parent cover and touchpad) can cause scuffs.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause

damage to the housing and malfunctioning.

Battery / rechargeable battery information

•  Keep (rechargeable) batteries out of the reach of children.
•  Do not leave batteries lying around. There is a risk that children or pets swallow batteries. If a battery

has been swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.

•  Leaking or damaged (rechargeable) batteries can cause burns when in contact with skin. You should

thus wear suitable gloves in such a case.

•  Chemicals running out of batteries/rechargeable batteries are very aggressive. Objects or surfaces

or rechargeable batteries).

•  Always replace the whole set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
•  Please note the correct polarity (plus/+ and Minus/-) when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries.
•  If you want to use rechargeable batteries please ensure that the reduced output voltage (batteries 1.5

V, rechargeable batteries - 1.2 V) do not lead to a reduction of the operating time and a reduction in LED

brightness.

Therefore we recommend you only use high quality alkaline batteries for operating the presenter to

ensure long and fault free operation.
