Operation
This product is not suitable for connecting a smartphone to a PC. Only use
one of the USB plugs at a time.
• On the card reader, open the respective protective cap of the USB plug to be used.
• Insert a microSD card into the free slot located at the Micro USB plug. The slot
features a notch at the Micro USB plug. Do not use any force when inserting! Only
one direction is correct. Make sure that the contacts of the microSD card point
downwards.
• Connect the USB-A plug of the card reader to a free USB port of your computer or
connect the Micro USB plug to the Micro USB socket of your Android smartphone
(Android version 4.0 or above). The operating system automatically recognizes the
card reader and shows the inserted card as conventional removable media drive.
• The LED status indicator is located on the side of the USB-A plug. The LED lights
up as long as the card reader is connected and flashes during reading/writing
operations.
• Wait until read/write access to the memory card is complete. Only then you can
carefully remove the memory card. If the memory card is removed during a read/
write access (or the card reader is unplugged from the computer/smartphone), the
data on the memory card can be damaged. It may also be necessary to format the
card in this case.
• Disconnect the card reader from the connected device when not in use. Remove the
microSD card from the card slot after the card reader has been disconnected. Cover
the plugs of the card reader with the protective caps.
Note that with some operating systems the card reader must be disconnected
from the PC/smartphone via the operating system first, before it can be
unplugged.
