Pairing
Before it is possible to transmit between your Bluetooth
®
device and the speaker, both
devices must be coupled with each other. This process is called “pairing”.
• Turn on the speaker, as described above. The volume control (2) must flash blue.
• Turn on your Bluetooth
®
device with which the speaker is to be coupled, and ac-
tivate pairing mode here (for more information, see the instruction manual of the
corresponding device). The device will now search for Bluetooth
®
devices within
range.
• When the loudspeaker is found, your Bluetooth® device will show the device name.
• Select the speaker on your Bluetooth
®
device. You may need to enter the password
“0000” on your Bluetooth
®
device.
• After a successful pairing procedure, the volume control (2) of the loudspeaker is
illuminated in blue and a corresponding sound is emitted. If a device is not paired
with the loudspeaker, it flashes blue.
Only one Bluetooth
®
device can be coupled to the speaker at a time. If an ac-
tive Bluetooth
®
coupling already exists, this connection must be interrupted
first.
If the speaker or the Bluetooth
®
device with which there is an active cou-
pling is switched off or moved out of range, the connection is broken. When
the respective device is turned back on or when the Bluetooth
®
device
comes back into the range of the speaker, the connection is automatically
restored.
To enable this automatic reconnection, this function may need to be acti-
vated on the Bluetooth
®
device (please inform yourself on this point in the
instructions for your Bluetooth
®
device).
Audio Streaming
Audio streaming is the transmission of audio data (music) to the speaker via
Bluetooth
®
.
If you own an A2DP-capable Bluetooth
®
device, you can connect it with the speaker
via the pairing procedure as described above and establish an audio transmission.
• Make sure that both devices are connected via pairing.
• Start playback/audio transmission on your Bluetooth
®
device (see the correspond-
ing operating manual).
• Now audio transmission is activated.
• Now you can control playback on your Bluetooth
®
device via the touch-sensitive
buttons of your speaker’s control panel:
The button
(1) goes back one track or activates the reverse search function
during playback.
The volume control button (2) has a touch-sensitive surface. Place your finger on
this surface and move clockwise to increase the volume.
Move your finger counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
Button
(3) pauses playback and when re-activated continues playback.
The button
(4) goes forwards one track or activates the forward search func-
tion during playback.
Wired audio playback
If your audio device does not have a Bluetooth
®
audio transmisson, you may connect
to your speaker via the included audio jack.
• Connect LINE IN (7) via the included audio jack to the audio output (headphone jack)
of your audio device.
• The loudspeaker toggles automatically to the input LINE IN and stops toggling with
a corresponding sound emission. The volume control is illuminated in red during this
operating mode.
• Start playback on your audio device.
• Now you can operate your audio device as describe under Sie “Audio-Streaming“,
however, the buttons
(1) and
(4) are disabled in this mode.
Playback from a memory card
This mode allows for playback of your MP3 files stored on a memory card.
• Insert your microSD card into the card reader (8).
• The loudspeaker toggles automatically to the card reader and stops toggling with
a corresponding sound emission. The volume control is illuminated in green during
this operating mode.
• Use button
(3) to start playback.
• Now you can operate your audio device as describe under Sie “Audio-Streaming“.
Memory cards up to max. 16 GB may be used.
Source selection
• Press the MODE (5) button to toggle between different audio sources.
• The loudspeaker stops toggling with a corresponding sound emission.
• The volume control is illuminated in a different colour depending on the operating
mode:
Bluetooth
®
→
blue
LINE IN
→
red
Card reader
→
green
Hands-free mode
The speaker can also be used as a hands-free device for a mobile phone.
• Make sure that both devices were connected via pairing.
• Press button
(3) to answer an incoming call or to end the call.
• Speak directly towards the front of the device.
Maintenance and cleaning
The speaker is maintenance-free.
Only clean it with a slightly moistened cloth. Never use solvents that can damage the
surface material of the housing.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable and must not be disposed of in the house-
hold waste!
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
