Operation

a) Connection

Insert a SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC card in the slot of the card reader (observe the correct

orientation, do not use force!) and plug the card reader into a free USB port on your computer.

All the drivers are already included in Windows

®

 (minimum requirement Windows

®

 XP).

Windows

®

automatically allocates an additional drive letter. The LED on the card reader flashes

when a memory card is inserted, or blinks during read/write access.

b) Disconnecting the Card Reader

When reading/writing to memory cards is underway, wait until they are finished (LED does not

blink). Then disconnect the card reader with the memory card from the USB port.

If the memory card is removed during a read/write access, the data on the memory

card can be damaged. It is possible that the memory card will have to be reformatted

afterwards.

c) Reading/Writing to Memory Cards

The memory card is integrated into the system in same way as a conventional removable

media drive. With Windows

®

file manager you can now read the data on the memory card (or

store data on the memory card), in the same way as you use the hard disk or a USB stick. Make

sure that the write protection is deactivated when writing to the SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC card.
