• Protect the mains cable of the pump from cold/heat, oil/gasoline and sharp edges; do not step on the
mains cable, do not drive on it (for example, a garden cart, bicycle, car). Never bend the mains cable or
place objects on it.
•
Make sure that electrical plug-in connections are located in areas protected against flooding, otherwise,
there is a risk of fatal electric shock! If necessary, use suitable protective housings for the plug
connections.
• Protect the mains plug against moisture! Never plug in or unplug the product when your hands are wet.
There is a risk of fatal electric shock!
• The mains cable or the mains plug must not be cut off.
d) Operation
•
Only fresh water with a maximum temperature of +35 °C is allowed as the pumped liquid.
• When pumping contaminated water, impurities with a particle size of up to 5 mm are allowed. Make sure
that the diameter of the hose used and the connections required are designed for such contamination.
• The product is not suitable for conveying drinking water or food.
• The pumped liquid can be contaminated by lubricants present in the pump.
•
The product is not suitable for conveying corrosive/erosive, flammable or explosive liquids (such as
gasoline, heating oil, cellulose thinner), fats, oils, sewage water, salt water or waste water from toilet
facilities.
• The mains socket, to which the clear water pump is connected, must be easily accessible. The mains
cable should face down from the power outlet to prevent water from returning to the mains socket.
•
If the clear water pump is, for example, in a well shaft, a suitable attachment such as a rope is required.
For safety reasons, the rope must be able to hold at least 3 times the weight of the clear water pump.
Never attach the clear water pump to the power cord of the clear water pump, never use the mains cable
to carry, hold or submerge the clear water pump!
• The product is not protected against dry run.
• The product must not be operated unattended.
• The product may not work in continuous operation.
• There must be no persons in the pumped medium during the operation.
•
The product must not be used in or near explosive liquids or gases, there is a danger of explosion!
•
Consequential damage that may occur due to a malfunction or fault in the pump must be prevented by
suitable measures (for example, water level gauges, sensors, alarm devices, reserve pump or similar).
• Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
• Do not shut off the outlet side of the pump when in operation.
Use e.g. an appropriate push switch, that switches off the power supply of the water pump in a timely
manner.
The clear water pump must not work more than 5 minutes against the closed pressure side in order to
avoid damages. Already during 5 minutes the water in the clear water pump already heats up. If the
pressure side is opened, then hot water is discharged, risk of scald burns/injury!
