i) Operation with External DMX Controller
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identified by the controller.
This DMX starting address specifies the first DMX channel to which the effect light responds. The remaining control
channels come after this first DMX channel (DMX starting address).
The effect light requires 4/7 free DMX channels depending on DMX operating mode.
DMX operation always takes precedence over any other operating mode. Once a DMX signal is recognised,
the other operating modes will be deactivated. The display shows the DMX starting address.
Settings of the DMX starting address
• Use the button MENU to select the setting Addr.
• Push the ENTER button. The display flashes.
• Select the desired start address (001-512) with the UP and DOWN buttons.
• Confirm the setting with the button ENTER while the display is flashing.
Settings of the DMX operating mode
• Use the button MENU to select the setting ChNd.
• Push the ENTER button. The display flashes.
• Select the desired DMX operating mode (4Ch; 7Ch) with the UP and DOWN buttons.
• Confirm the setting with the button ENTER while the display is flashing.
Wireless DMX
The effect device has a wireless DMX receiver/transmitter. The DMX signal therefore can also be transmitted wire-
lessly. There are several radio transmission channels available. They are displayed in colour on the rear of the device
via the signal LED.
• Switch on the controller. Select the desired radio transmission channel at the transmitter of the controller. For this,
observe the operating instructions of the controller or the DMX transmitter.
• Use the button MENU to select the setting Addr.
• Put the switch SIGNAL in the position ON. The signal LED is lit in the colour of the set channel.
• Select the same transmission channel (same colour) as at the transmitter with the button next to the signal LED at
the effect device.
• If a connection (coupling) between transmitter and receiver has been established, the signal LED at the effect
device will flash green. The effect device can now be controlled wirelessly with the DMX controller.
