Battery/rechargeable battery instructions
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not let batteries/rechargeable batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of bat-
teries being swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
• Acid contact due to leaking or damaged single/rechargeable batteries can burn
your skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggres-
sive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids could be consider-
ably damaged. Thus, store batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Normal/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a
fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
Only charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suit-
able battery charger.
• Never mix standard batteries with rechargeable batteries, use either standard bat-
teries or rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charge levels (e.g., full
and half-full batteries/rechargeable batteries).
• Always replace the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
• If you wish to use rechargeable batteries, please note that, due to the lower output
voltage (batteries = 1.5 V, rechargeable batteries =1.2 V), the operating time will de-
crease. Especially at low temperatures, the operating time drops significantly with
rechargeable batteries.
Therefore, we recommend that you use high-quality alkaline batteries to operate the
dummy camera in order to ensure long-lasting and reliable operation.
Inserting/replacing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment of the dummy camera and insert two AA batteries
(mignon) paying attention to the correct polarity (pay attention to plus and minus).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• A battery change is necessary when the white LEDs no longer light up at night.
Assembly
• Select a suitable mounting location for the dummy camera. During installation, keep
the desired alignment of the camera opening in mind.
The product is designed for use indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, however, mount it
at a location protected from direct precipitation (e.g. under an overhang).
The screw or drilling position can be selected optimally using the provided
installation template.
Please make sure that you do not damage existing cables or wiring when
drilling/screwing into place.
• Screw in two screws such that each screw head still stands out approx. 3 mm.
• Set the dummy camera on the screws and turn it a little way to the right.
If necessary, adjust the screws so that the dummy camera can be correctly
set and locked on them.
This makes it very easy to change the batteries without needing tools to
remove the camera.
Function
The LEDs of the dummy camera are controlled by a PIR sensor located in the centre at
the position of the camera lens.
The PIR sensor is active only at low ambient brightness (< 30 lux), so that the
LEDs are not switched on unnecessarily during the day.
The PIR sensor recognizes temperature changes in the detection area, such as when
a person or an animal enters the detection area.
The weak white lighting of the LEDs simulates a function of the camera.
When the PIR sensor no longer recognizes a temperature change in the detection
area, the white LEDs turn off automatically.
Only 12 LEDs light up (the inner ring of LEDs); the others (the outer ring of
LEDs) are only functionless dummies.

Operating instructions
Dummy camera with nightlight
Item no. 1325938
Intended use
The product looks deceptively similar to a functional surveillance camera, and there-
fore, it can be used for deterrence in secluded or critical areas (e.g., driveways, en-
trance areas, shops, etc.).
The dummy camera is intended for installation and operation on a room ceiling in in-
door and outdoor areas.
The power supply for the dummy camera is via 2 batteries of type AA/Mignon (not
included, available separately).
In darkness (ambient brightness <30 lux), a PIR sensor is active. This recognizes tem-
perature changes in the detection area and then activates 12 white LEDs for several
seconds. The weak white lighting of the LEDs in the night simulates a function of the
camera.

erating instructions.
