8. Commissioning
a) Connection
Electrical connection:
• To take the device into operation, first connect the enclosed mains cable to the voltage supply socket

at the rear of the radio.
• Then plug the mains plug of the cable into a mains socket.
• Now switch on the switch at the rear of the device

• The internet radio is now ready for operation.
Connection of additional devices:
The device has one connection socket (3.5 mm jack plug) each for headphones and an external device,
such as an MP3 player, and a line output at the back.
• To connect headphones to the product, just connect the plug to the headphones socket

of the internet
radio. The speaker is automatically switched off and the music is played back on the connected head-
phones.
• To connect an external device to the radio, connect its output to the AUX socket
B3
of the radio with the
corresponding cable.
Then switch on the external device and start playback. You need to switch the internet radio to mode
“AUX”.
• To connect the internet radio e.g. to an amplifier, connect the line output
B4
to the input of your amplifier
with the corresponding cable. The speaker is automatically switched off and the music is played back on
the external device.
b) Inserting or changing the remote control batteries.
Before you can use the remote control, you need to insert the batteries.
Proceed as follows:
• First remove the battery lid of the remote control For this, push the lid on the rear downwards.
• Insert the two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure that the polarity is correct (plus/+ and
minus/-). The orientation in which you need to insert your batteries is displayed in the battery compart-
ment.
• Now push the lid back onto the remote control until it latches.
• The batteries are now inserted.
If you want to replace the batteries later, proceed as for insertion, but remove the old batteries
before inserting the new ones.
