Inserting/replacing the battery
• Switch on the doorstop with alarm via the slide switch on the rear of the device (switch position
“OFF”).
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the housing.
• Connect a 9 V block battery with the battery clips.
• Insert the battery into the battery compartment and close it again. Make sure that the battery
clip cable is not squeezed or damaged.
• The batteries need to be changed when the alarm is activated and the alarm sound is barely
audible or cannot be heard at all.
Function test
• Keep the round sound outlet opening on the top side tightly closed by hand.
• Switch on the doorstop with alarm (switch position “ON”).
• Actuate the metal rocker once and release it again.
• An alarm sound must be audible.
• Switch off the doorstop with alarm (switch position “OFF“) to deactivate the alarm.
Location of the doorstop with alarm
• Switch on the doorstop with alarm (switch position “ON”).
• Position the device behind the door so that when the door is opened the door leaf hits the flat
side of the doorstop with alarm and actuates the metal rocker.
On most surfaces the non-slip rubber bottom of the doorstop with alarm prevents that the door-
stop with alarm is only displaced rather then activating an alarm.
Due to the design the doorstop with alarm requires a minimum distance of approx.
7 - 10 mm between floor and door leaf.
• When the door is opened the door leaf glides onto the metal rocker where it actuates the inte-
grated switch that activates the alarm.
• Switch off the doorstop with alarm (switch position “OFF“) to deactivate the alarm.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
• The outside of the product should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions for this could damage the
housing (discolouring) or impair the operation.
