Intended use
The music receiver is designed to receive wireless audio signals (voice or music) from mobile
phones, tablets, laptops and other devices that have an appropriate Bluetooth
®
connection.
The device has a transmission range of up to 10 metres when there are no obstructions.
The audio signal can be picked up on the receiver on a 3.5 mm jack socket. Power is supplied
via the USB port on a computer or via a USB power adaptor (not included).
The A2DP Bluetooth
®
protocol and the SBC codec must be supported in order to transmit
music. Bluetooth
®
is a technology which is used to transmit data wirelessly over short distances.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
• Do not place the music receiver near to sources of heat.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music over an extended period of time. This may
damage your hearing.
• Only use the USB power cable provided to operate the device.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.

Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.

Operation
1.
Connect your audio playback device (speakers, amplifier etc.) to the jack socket

on the
music receiver using the jack cable provided. Use the adapter provided if the connection
takes place via a cinch socket.
2. Ensure that you place the product in a secure position.
3. Now connect the low-voltage connector on the USB cable to the low-voltage socket

on
the music receiver.
4. Connect the USB-A connector on the USB cable to the USB port on a computer.

The LED on the music receiver starts to flash in regular intervals. This indicates that the
receiver is searching for Bluetooth
®
-capable devices.
a) Establishing the Bluetooth
®
connection
1. Now activate the Bluetooth
®
function on the device that you want to use to transfer audio
data to the music receiver. For example, on an Android smartphone you will find the function
in 'Connections' in the settings. In Apple iOS, you will find the function under Bluetooth
®
settings. Look up the details in the instruction manuals of the devices concerned.
2. Enter the PIN code for a connection. Use 0000 if necessary. Some devices do not require a
PIN code. The music receiver can save up to a maximum of 8 devices.
3. Once the device is displayed as "Music Receiver", tap on it to pair your device (e.g. your
smartphone) with the music receiver. If no other devices are connected to the music receiv-
er, this device will automatically be selected for audio playback. The LED

flashes once
every second during the pairing process. The LED stays on once a connection has been
successfully established.
b) Playback
1.
You can play back an audio file on your device. The audio signal is automatically transmitted
to the Bluetooth
®
receiver. Depending on the device, it is also possible to switch the output
between the Bluetooth
®
receiver and the device that you are using the play the files.
2. It is also possible to play a video. The picture will be displayed on your device (e.g. tablet)
while the sound will be played on the audio device that is connected to the music receiver.
3. Use your smartphone or tablet to control the playback and the volume.
c) Disconnecting the Bluetooth
®
connection.
1. To disconnect your device from the music receiver, navigate to the Bluetooth
®
settings again
and terminate the connection. Alternatively, you can simply turn off the Bluetooth
®
function.
Multiple devices may be paired with the music receiver via the Bluetooth
®
function,
but only one of them can be used to play back audio. If you want to use another
device as the signal source, the current device must first be disabled.
