The long rechargeable battery runtime is achieved by targeted deactivation of the GSM/
GPS module. There is the ONLINE and OFFLINE mode for this (see chapter 11).
For how long is the module to go to sleep and for how long after waking up is it to wait
for a message?
SET TIMEOUT 15 1425 #1513
After 1425 minutes, it will wait for a message for 15 minutes. Together, these are 1440
minutes, which equals precisely 1 day.
SET TIMEOUT <ONLINE> <OFFLINE> #<PIN>
ONLINE: 5 - 255 minutes
OFFLINE: 1 - 65535 minutes, 0 = never OFFLINE
The TIMEOUT time is restarted at each wakeup (e.g. by button S1 or an
alarm).
Text messages can also be sent to the product during the OFFLINE time; they
will, however, only be processed after waking up.
It can be helpful to first increase the ONLINE timeout with the first command to
increase the time to react. You may not be able to react to the answering text
message within 15 minutes!
This command directly influences the rechargeable battery runtime. The longer
the ONLINE time, the shorter the rechargeable battery runtime.
