Parking the vehicle
With the vehicle stationary, start the
engine. Neutral is engaged and the as-
sisted parking brake is applied auto-
matically.

In the event of an impact to
the underside of the vehicle
(e.g.: striking a post, raised
kerb or other street furni-
ture), this may result in damage to
the vehicle (e.g.: twisted axle), the
electrical circuit or the traction bat-
tery.
Do not touch the circuit elements or
any fluids or liquids.
To prevent any risk of accident,
have your vehicle checked by an
authorised dealer.

To select reverse gear
With the vehicle stationary, engine run-
ning, n position, D or b engaged, de-
press the brake pedal and move for-
ward the lever by two notches, r lights
up on the instrument panel.
The reversing lights will illuminate as
soon as reverse gear is selected (igni-
tion on) and, depending on the vehicle,
the reversing camera

note: with the engine running, the ve-
hicle moving between 0 and 5 mph
(8 km/h) and position n or r engaged, it
is not necessary to depress the brake
pedal to engage the position D . This is
useful when parking manoeuvres re-
quire alternating forward and reverse
gearing.
When the door is opened, the mes-
sage “Select NEUTRAL N” is dis-
played on the instrument panel
if the gear control is in a position
other than n and the engine is not
switched off.
The n position of the lever
does not mechanically lock
the drive wheels, make
sure it is immobilised before
leaving the vehicle.
