Deactivating the front passenger
airbag
(depending on the vehicle)
To install a rear-facing child seat on
the front passenger seat, you
must
deactivate
the
front
passenger
airbag if your vehicle is fitted with
airbag deactivation.
To deactivate the airbag,
switch off
the ignition, insert the ignition key
into lock

, press and turn the lock
to the
OFF
position, and remove the
key keeping it in the
OFF
position.
The airbag is deactivated.
With the ignition on, check
without
fail
that indicator light

AIRBAG
OFF
, is lit on the instrument panel.
This indicator light remains lit to
confirm that you can fit a child seat,
as the airbag has been deactivated.
