2 Do not put the appliance in liquid; do not use it near water in
a bath-tub, basin or other vessel; and don’t use it outdoors.

Ensure steam vents are directed away from face, head or hair and
are not covered by hands.

someone similarly qualiied, in order to avoid hazard.

11 Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
This Straightener can be used on wet or dry hair
Wet mode
– use on towel dried hair
Towel dry hair well before styling.
* Do not use on dripping wet hair
When you turn on the straightener it will automatically set itself to wet mode. It will
default to 200°C which is the minimum temperature required for Wet mode
straightening. This is indicated by the cloud icon.
* Before using the straightener on wet hair ensure the straightener has fully heated to
your desired temperature between 200°C - 230°C.
Select appropriate temperature for you hair type using the controls on the side of the
straightener.
* When straightening wet hair you will hear a hissing sound and the unit will steam. This
is a good thing – it is the sound of excess water in your hair evaporating and this is not
harmful to the condition of your hair.
Dry mode –
use on dry hair
1 Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.
2 Select appropriate temperature for your hair type using the controls on the side of the
straightener.
Recommended Temperatures:
Temperature
Hair type
140°C - 170°C
Fine
170°C - 200°C
Medium
200°C - 230°C
Thick
General use:
1 Plug in the styler and press and hold the on button to switch on.
* When the styler is plugged in but not turned on a lock symbol will show in the display
window indicating the styler is in stand by mode.
2 Start styling on lower temperatures irst. The temperature bars and display will stop
lashing once desired temperature is reached.
3 Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers irst.
4 Working on one section at a time run the straightener through the entire length of the
hair, without stopping.
5 Repeat only twice per section to prevent damage to the hair.
6 When inished press and hold the of button for two seconds to turn of and unplug the
appliance.

Switch lock function
Set the desired temperature by pr/- buttons and lock the switch settings by pressing the
‘-‘ button for 2 seconds. A ‘padlock’ symbol will appear next to the temperature.
To unlock the switch settings, press and hold the ‘-‘ button again for 2 seconds.

Hinge lock for storage
Plates can be shut together for easy storage
Locked- Push the hinge lock up to the locked position
Unlocked- Pull the hinge lock down to the unlocked position
NOTE: Do not heat the unit in the locked position

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance and let it cool.
Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth.
Don’t use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
