ATTACHING AdJUSTABLE GUIdE COMBS

To attach comb to clipper, align both comb rails with the comb tracks on both 
sides of the hair clipper and slide into place. Once comb is secure you will hear 

a click sound, letting you know it is 
locked in. Ensure comb is properly 
secured by pushing down on comb, 
the comb should not slip. To adjust 
comb height press down on the comb 
adjustment button and slide up or 
down as necessary.

HOW TO USE

Charging Your Hair Clipper

• 

The hair clipper must be turned off.

• 

Insert the adapter plug into the bottom of the hair clipper and plug the 
adapter unit into a power outlet. The amber light will glow to indicate that it 
is charging.

• 

The hair clipper will be fully charged in 14-16 hours.

• 

The batteries cannot be overcharged, but we recommend that charging be 
discontinued if the hair clipper will not be used for a long period of time.

• 

It is advisable not to use this hair clipper directly from the power outlet 
when it has been fully charged, but if while using the hair clipper in 
cordless mode there is a noticeable drop in power, you can use directly 
from the power outlet.

• 

Never use under water when connected to the outlet.

• 

If the hair clipper has not been used for a month or longer, it is advisable to 
recharge it for 14-16 hours.

• 

To preserve the life of the batteries, discharge them by running the hair 
clipper until the blades move slowly. Switch off and fully recharge. Do this 
every six months.

• 

Charge the clipper at temperatures between 4º-32ºC. 

• 

Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries are included. 

USB charging

This hair clipper can be charged via USB port on a PC. Do not run the product 
when charging via USB port on a PC.

Integrated Hair Texturisor

• 

Simply adjust the hair texturisor/thinner mechanism by sliding the button at 
the top of the hair clipper.

• 

Cut hair to desired length.

• 

Slide Texture Release button into place, exposing hair texturisor.

• 

Repeat hair cutting technique in areas you desire to be texturised.

things happen, return the appliance to an authorised service 

centre for examination and repair.

•  Make sure the cord is disconnected from the clipper while 

storing this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do 

not store it in temperatures exceeding 60°C (140°F)

•  Do not use this appliance with a damaged or broken cutter 

unit, as injury may occur. Always make sure blades are 

aligned properly.

•  Always attach plug to appliance and then the adapter to the 

outlet. To disconnect, turn all controls to OFF, then remove 

adapter from outlet, then detach power cord from the clipper 

for storage.

•  Do not use an extension cord or a voltage converter with this 

appliance.

•  Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
•  Do not run the product when charging via USB port on a PC. 

Remington strongly recommends that an approved 

Safety Switch (residual current device) be installed to 

protect all bathroom power outlets. Ask an electrical 

contractor for advice.

BEFOrE STArTING THE CUT

1.

 Inspect the hair clipper making sure that it is free from hair and dirt.

2.

 Seat the person so that their head is approximately at your eye level.

3.

 Before cutting, always comb the hair so it is tangle free and dry.

INSTrUCTIONS FOr HAIr CUTTING 
NOTE: For even cutting, allow the guide comb/blade to cut its way 

through the hair. do not force it through quickly. If you are cutting 

for the first time, start with the maximum guide comb, until you 

know how short you would like your hair to be.
NOTE: The comb guide lengths described for use in the steps 

below are an example only, if you want a longer or shorter hair 

cut you will need to adjust the comb guide lengths to suit your 

requirements.
STEP 1 - NAPE OF THE NECK

a.

 Use 3mm or 6mm guide comb setting.

b.

 Hold the hair clipper with the blade teeth pointing upwards. Begin starting at 

the centre of the head at the base of the neck.

c.

 Slowly lift the hair clipper, working upwards and outwards through the hair, 

trimming just a little at a time.

STEP 2 - BACK ANd SIdE OF THE HEAd

With the 9mm or 12mm guide comb setting, cut the hair at the back of the head.

STEP 3 - SIdE OF THE HEAd

a.

 With the 9mm or 12mm guide comb setting, trim sideburns.

b.

 Then change to the longer 24mm guide comb and continue to cut to the top 

of the head.

STEP 4 - TOP OF THE HEAd

a.

 Using the 27mm or 30mm guide comb setting, cut the hair on top of the 

head against the direction in which the hair normally grows.

b.

 For longer hair on top, use scissors. Lift the hair on top of the head with 

styling comb. Cut over the styling comb with the hair lifted or hold the hair 
between the fingers to lift it and cut it to the desired length.

c.

 Always work from the back of the head.
