How to Use

Usage Tips

6

Heat Settings

Use the correct temperature setting for
your hair type.

Straightening Your Hair

1.

Hair should be dry and free of tangles
before using the styling iron.

2.

Plug the styler into an electrical outlet.
Slide the ON/OFF switch down to the
HOT position. The ready light will glow.

3.

Divide hair into manageable sections and
clip the upper layers on top of your head
and out of the way. Work with under-
neath layers first.

5.

Test the styler on a small section of hair,
then adjust the temperature up to
HOTTER position if needed.

4.

Take a small section of hair and pull hair
down and away from your scalp, and
hold it taut.

To Smooth & Straighten

1.

Slide the locking style switch all the
way forward to lock the styler in the
straightener position.

2.

Starting at the roots, clamp hair firmly
between the plates and run the styler
down the entire hair strand, from root to
tip, in one smooth stroke. Do not hold it
in one area.

To Curl

1.

Slide the locking style switch all the way
back to lock the styler in the curling iron
position.

2.

Taking one section at a time, place the
ends of hair over the barrel with the
clamp open. Then close the clamp,
making sure that the ends extend just
a tiny bit beyond the clamp.

3.

Grasp the safety tip with the other hand,
and it will be easy to roll hair.

4.

Keep the section of hair taut as you wind
it around the hot barrel. Wind the curl
toward the scalp as far as you wish to
go

without touching scalp with the hot

barrel.

5.

Hold the curl in place for up to 20
seconds for tight curls or if hair is hard
to curl. Hold for less time if hair is easy
to curl, or if you want loose curls or just
waves.

6.

When ready to release curl, unwind
about half a turn (for longer hair, unwind
a bit more) and push down on the clamp
release lever to open the clamp. Now,
gently withdraw the barrel from the
center or curl.

To Finish

1.

Repeat with all sections of your hair,
working with the underneath layers first,
then the top and sides.

2.

When you are finished styling, slide the
ON/OFF switch to the center position to
turn off styler, unplug the styler, and
allow it to cool before storing.
