WARRANTY

BHT1001AU

Note: The Trimmer Comb Attachment can only be placed on

the Cutter Head Assembly one way: if it does not fit correctly,

remove and reverse it.

TRIMMING TIPS

•  Use the Thumb Wheel to set the Trimmer Comb to the desired

length setting. It’s a good idea to begin trimming at one of the

longest settings – number 4 or number 5 – to avoid

accidentally trimming the hair too short. As you become

familiar with the settings, you can then select your desired

length.

•  Turn the Trimmer on.
•  Place the flat top of the Trimmer Comb against your skin.
•  Slowly slide the Trimmer through your hair.
•  Repeat from different directions as necessary.
•  If hair builds up in the Trimmer Comb attachment during the

process, turn the Trimmer off, remove the Adjustable Trimmer

Comb and brush the trimmings off.

•  For an even closer look and precise shaping, remove the

Adjustable Trimmer Comb attachment and trim the hairs along

the outer edge.

•  When you are finished, turn the Trimmer off and clean it
•  Never use the Trimmer with damaged or broken cutter blades.

If the cutter blades do not move, the cutting unit may be dirty

and clogged. Clean and lubricate the cutter as detailed in the

Oiling The Blades section of this manual.

Cleaning the Washable Body Hair Trimmer

•  Ensure that the switch is in the off position.
•  Remove the Adjustable Trimmer Comb attachment. While

holding the Trimmer in one hand with your thumb on the

Thumb Wheel to prevent it from turning, gently pull the Comb

Attachment away from the Trimmer. The Comb Attachment

can be removed and replaced on any setting.

•  Push upward on the cutter teeth to pop off the cutter

assembly. The cutter assembly rests on a gentle spring.

•  Shake or blow out any accumulated hairs. You may also rinse

it under running water.

OILING THe BLadeS

Your Washable Body Hair Trimmer is fitted with high quality

blades. They will remain lubricated if the Washable Body Hair

Trimmer is used in a dry environment. If the Washable Body

Hair Trimmer is used in the shower or rinsed under running

water you will need to lubricate it periodically to keep it

operating efficiently. Simply remove the adjustable Trimmer

Comb and place a drop of oil on the cutter teeth.

Oil cautions

•  Use only the light grade oil supplied. It is a very light grade oil

that will not evaporate and cause the blades to slow down.

•  Do not use hair oil, grease, or any oil mixed with a solvent as

the solvent will evaporate and leave a thick oil that will slow

the blades.

Storage

•  Always store the Washable Body Hair Trimmer and its

accessories in a safe and dry place.

•  Do not wrap the cord around the charging adaptor.
•  This Trimmer has no user serviceable parts – other than

described above. For any other service needs contact a

Remington® Authorised Service Agent.
