12. COMBUSTION ENGINE OPERATION
OPERATION MANUAL FOR COMBUSTION ENGINES GX120, GX140,
GX160,
GX200, GX240, GX270, GX340, GX390, GX420, GX690, LIFAN
1. General safety rules:
⦁
Do not use the engine in closed rooms;
⦁
The engine should not be kept less than one meter from flammable materials;
⦁
Do not smoke while pouring fuel into the tank;
⦁
The engine should be turned off when refueling ;
⦁
Refuel so as not to spill fuel sideways.
2. Before starting the engine:
⦁
Check oil level;
⦁
If not, top up to the highest level (line on, depstick). Oil type: 15W40. MOBIL
SUPER M
⦁
Check fuel level and top up if not present. Fuel type: E95
3. Starting the engine:
⦁
Switch fuel valve to ON position ;
⦁
Move the throttle lever slightly ;
⦁
Switch the Choke valve ;
⦁
Set engine switch to "ON" position ;
⦁
Pull the starter handle vigorously ;
⦁
Turn off choke
⦁
Set the throttle lever to the desired position ;
⦁
The engine must be warmed up for about 2 minutes before starting work.
4. Engine shut down.
⦁
Maintaining the engine in good condition. Adjust the throttle lever until the
minimum speed is reached;
⦁
Turn the engine switch to the ‘'OFF'’ position
⦁
Switch fuel valve to "OFF" position
5. Maintaining the engine in good condition.
⦁
Daily oil check is recommended;
⦁
The engine must be "run in" at low speed, for the first oil change;
⦁
After the first 10 hours of engine operation, the oil must be changed. Next
replacements after every 100 hours of engine operation;
⦁
After 50 hours of engine operation, wash the air filter sponge and replace the
entire filter after another 50;
⦁
The spark plug must be replaced after every 200 hours of operation.
