4. Wired Clone:
Turning on the power while holding down MONI, the radio enters wired clone mode after 2 seconds.
Press PTT, red LED blinks, and cloning begins; when cloning is completed, red LED goes out.
5. Model set mode:
(1) Complete the two SELF points (short circuit) on PCB, and turn on the power, two “Beeps” are
sounded.
(2) Set channel selector knob to corresponding position (1-16) according to the model (see initial
data table)
(3) Press [PTT] while holding down [MONI] to set the model. Channel data and settings are
initialized.
(4) Turn off the power, and disconnect the two SELF points on PCB to end the model settings. E.g.
RPV516A, its No. is 2, to initialize its model and channel data: short out the two SELF points
on PCB , and turn on the power, set the channel selector knob at CH2, and then press PTT
while holding down MONI, channel data of CH1,CH2,CH3 and CH4 is initialized as the
corresponding data of No.2. The receive and transmit frequencies of channel 5-14 are same
as channel 1, and the tone of CH5 and CH10 is 67.0Hz; CH6 and CH11 is 151.4Hz; CH7 and
CH12 is 250.3Hz; the code of CH8 and CH13 is 423(CDCSS); CH9 and CH14 is
-423(CDCSS). Channel 1-9 are wide, Channel 10-14 are Narrow. Turn off the power after
reset, disconnecting the two SELF points and restart the power to use the radio.
(5) Remarks:
The old data (frequency, CTCSS/CDCSS, channel function settings) will be deleted once the
new model is set, and part of functions will also be changed. Therefore, do not make this
operation unless it’s very necessary, such as changing the EEPROM, etc.
