INTRODUCTION
The elbow support is intended to be a support for the elbows of the surgeon at such operations where
a support is needed. I.e. eye surgery or other kinds of micro surgery.
ABOUT USER MANUAL
This user manual is for clinical personnel, service personnel and others who need the knowledge
about and understanding of how the support works and how it can be used.
Read the user manual carefully before use of the equipment.
Always follow the instructions in user manual.
Always keep the user manual close to the equipment.
IMPORTANT SECURITY DIRECTIONS
Avoid collisions between the elbow support and other equipment when the operating table is
moved or is transported.
A functional control shall always be done before every time of use.
Service and preventing maintenance shall always be done by authorized personnel and in
issued intervals.
The elbow support is designed for a maximum load of 25kg. To keep the safety factor
according to the European standards EN 60601 and EN 60601-2-46, the maximum load shall
not be exceeded.
INSTALLATION
At the unpacking, check that there are no damages to the equipment. Check against the delivery note
that all parts are delivered ant that there are no loose parts in the box. The packing material consists
of cardboard and plastic and can be recycled.
CARE AND MAITENANCE
Be aware of that adjustments and all kind of repair only can be done by for this purpose educated
personnel. Changing of any part of the construction without a written permission from the
manufacturer is strictly forbidden. Transgression will be prohibited.
Cleaning
Clean with mild soap detergent with PH 6-8 and tempered water. Dry with soft cloth. If
necessary, use alcohol on metal parts. Do not use detergents containing strong acids or
bases.
Control
Check daily for any kind of damages and check all locking functions before use.
Annual service
Once a year the elbow support shall be carefully cleaned and moving parts shall be
lubricated with water resistant grease. The locking functions shall be checked and
if necessary adjusted.
