INTRODUCTION
The foot support 10-296 is intended to be used on split leg sections as well as on one piece leg
section. The supports can be adjusted along the operating table to support patients of different
length. They can also be adjusted in height to fit different thicknesses of operating table pads and
there is also a possibility to adjust the foot plates across the operating table, depending on how the
patient shall be positioned.
ABOUT USERS MANUAL
This manual is for clinical personnel, service personnel and others who need the knowledge about
and understanding of how the foot supports works and how they can be used.
Read the manual carefully before use of the equipment.
Always follow the directions in the manual.
Always keep the manual close to the equipment.
IMPORTANT SECURITY DIRECTIONS
A function control shall always be done daily before use with patient.
All service and preventing maintenance must be done by for this purpose educated
personnel. Be aware of that changing of any part of the construction without a written
permission from the manufacturer is strictly forbidden.
The foot support is designed for a Safe Working Load of 25kg. To keep the valid safety
factor according to the European standards EN 60601 and EN60601-2-46 this SWL shall not
be exceeded. Overload can damage the equipment and cause injuries to the patient.
If the locking knob for height adjustment loosens. The foot plate must be hold with the other
hand to prevent it from sliding down and cause jam injuries to the personnel or to the patient
If the locking handle that locks the foot support to the operating table loosens, the foot
support must be hold by the other hand to prevent it from falling in over the operating table
and cause injuries to the patient or to the personnel.
INSTALLATION
Check by the unpacking that there are no damages to the equipment and that there are no loose parts
in the box. Also check the content against the delivery note.
The packing material consists of cardboard and plastic and can be recycled according to local
regulations.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
For fixation on an operating table, the foot supports are equipped with clamps with universal
grooves to fit all accessory rails on the market. The clamps are to be hooked on to the accessory rail
of the leg section and locks by anticlockwise turning of the locking handles. Clockwise turning
loosens the clamps, making it possible to push the foot support along the accessory rail or remove
the support from the leg section.
