14. Calibrating the position sensors
Before starting the helicopter, you should calibrate the position sensors. This ensures that the helicopter hovers
smoothly at one spot and does not fly in one direction spontaneously and without a control command.
Proceed as follows:
Power on the transmitter and the helicopter and place the ready-to-start model on a level horizontal surface.
Then move both joysticks down to the left and hold them
in this position.
The transmitter emits a short beep and the helicopter
LEDs start to flicker.
At this time, the swashplate moves to the left and back.
When the LEDs glow steadily, move the joysticks back to
the middle position. The calibration process of the position
sensors is now complete.
