d) Inserting the Drive Battery in the Vehicle
Attention!
The drive battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter, see
chapter 8. c).
Important!
This vehicle is designed for operation with a 2-cell LiPo drive battery (rated voltage 7.4 V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed controller.
Apart from this, the vehicle’s drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. differential). Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
Open the two hook and loop tapes of the battery holder and place the drive battery in the battery holders.
Fasten the drive battery with the two hook and loop tapes.
e) Connecting the Drive Battery to the Speed Controller
Then check that the speed controller is switched off. Observe
the figure on the right.
• Switch position “OFF” (= speed controller off): Push slider
away from the setup button
• Switch position “ON” (= speed controller on): Push slider
towards setup button
If you didn’t do so before, switch on the transmitter (see
chapters 8. c).
To prevent sudden start-up of the wheels and therefore uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable support (or starting box), so
that the wheels can turn freely.
Never reach into the drive, and do not stop the wheels with your hand; danger of injury! Do not block the
drive!
Connect the drive battery to the speed controller.
Ensure correct polarity (red cable = plus/+, black cable = minus/-).
