Display
The reading is shown in the form of bars:
a continuous line = even values e.g. 6, 8, 14
dotted line = uneven values e.g. 7,11
Overflow: reading > 44%/2.0%
Note: Characteristics due to growth or type of wood and deviating wood

temperatures may make it necessary to correct the displayed values.

Measurements should be carried out according to the drying and weighing/
calcium carbide method in the case of inspections or for reference purposes.
Automatic Power OFF
In order to conserve battery life, the meter will automatically turn off after
approximately 15 minutes. Press the power switch of the meter to restore
the display the meter was previously on.
Battery check

Connect electrodes with B contacts to the protective cap.
Reference display for wood: >44%
Reference display for building material: >2.05%
Display has to be full.
Battery Replacement
1. When the LCD display shows LO BAT “
”, it indicates the battery
output is either empty or has dropped below the operating voltage
require. Replacement of the batteries is now needed.
2. Unscrew the 1 screw and open the Battery Cover at the back of meter
and remove the battery.
3. Replace with new batteries, check the polarization is correct, and
reinstall the cover.
