II. SAFETY MEASURES
• The manufacturer is not responsible for damage
caused by non-observance of safety measures and
product operation rules.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use and can
be used in apartments, country houses, hotel rooms,
shop utility rooms, offices, or other similar non-indus
-
trial environments. Industrial or any other inappropri
-
ate use of the device will be considered a violation of
the proper use conditions. In this case, the manufac
-
turer is not responsible for the possible consequences.
• Before connecting the device to the mains, check
whether its voltage matches the rated supply voltage
of the appliance (see specifications or the product
nameplate).
• Use an extension cord rated for the appliance power
consumption: inappropriate parameters may cause a
short circuit or the cable fire.
• Unplug the appliance after use, or when cleaning or
moving it. Remove the power cord with dry hands by
holding the plug, not the cord.
• Do not lay the power cord through doorways or near
the heat sources. Make sure that the power cord is not
twisted or kinked, and does not come into contact with
sharp objects, corners and furniture edges.
REMEMBER: Accidental damage to the power cord may
result in malfunctions that do not qualify for the war
-
ranty, as well as electric shock. If the power cord is dam
-
aged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer
service or similarly qualified personnel to avoid hazard.
• Use the appliance only for its intended purpose. Using
the appliance for purposes other than those specified in
this manual is a violation of the operating rules.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors: ingress of moisture
or foreign objects inside the device body may cause se
-
rious damage.
• Do not use the appliance in rooms with high humidi
-
ty and in rooms where flammable gases and vapors are
present.
• In terms of electrical safety and protection degree,
OVU-02 RAC-3709 meets the requirements of GOST
30345.0-95 (IEC 335-1-91) “Safety of Household and
Similar Electrical Appliances. General Requirements”
and is made in accordance with protection class II. How
-
ever, we recommend to connect it to domestic mains
that have a protective earthing conductor.
• Observe the recommendations and rules for working
with the appliance. We recommend to adhere to the
instructions of the Manual Р3.5.1904-04 “The Use of
Ultraviolet Bactericidal Radiation for Disinfection of Air
and Surfaces in Rooms” of the Ministry of Health of the
Russian Federation dated 04.03.2004.
