Purpose of Table
This table will assist the installer in determining the maximum size of chiller vessel (evaporator) with a
three inch (3”) relief port that can be fitted with the Model NRS-3
RuptureSeal
™ valve.
(NOTE:
Because the RuptureSeal
™
NRS-3 has been flow rated with the rupture disk as an integral part
of the valve, the flow capacity does not have to be derated when installed.
How to use Table
Obtain the
diameter
and
length
of the chiller vessel (evaporator).
Refer to the table below and locate the
“Diameter”
measurement that equals the diameter of the chiller
vessel (evaporator). The measurement to the immediate right of the evaporator’s diameter indicates
the
“Maximum Length”
of the chiller vessel (evaporator) that the Model NRS-3
RuptureSeal
™ valve
can be installed on.
