When carrying out complex lifting operations like cross hauling
to transfer loads from one hoist to another a formal work pack
should be in place including a lift plan, method statement and a
risk assessment completed by a competent person.
The hoist manual contains further details on safe operation
while cross hauling, fleeting or oblique or non-vertical lifting
and pulling using Red Rooster air hoists.
