mber is selected, treated and planed to correct speci
fi
ca ons. Timber however is a natural product material, and
will therefore experience changes in both appearance and composi on during its life cycle. This means that it may;
Develop openings in the structure of wood following the grain, openings include (gaps, slits, apertures, cracks and also
splits). These gaps are caused by the di
ff
erence in moisture content on the internal and external surfaces of the mber. This
is expected during drier and we er seasons, this is not a cause for concern and will not a
ff
ect structural integrity, life or
gaurantee of the product.
Warp and distort in overall shape. Any distor on or warping of the mber will only be slight, and will not a
ff
ect the overall
enjoyment of the equipment.
Fade in colour as the mber reacts to exposure to UV light. The mber will react with the sunlight, and fade over me,
treatment of the wood with a proprietary product is recommended on an annual basis. These are sold by Outdoor Toys.
Note: Timber is treated in accordance with Biocidal Products Regula ons (BPR, Regula on (EU) 528/2012) and also
BS EN 8417.
All treated mber incorporates biocidal products such as Copper Hydroxide Carbonate & Boric Acid, these

Ini ally a er treatment, mber has a green appearance which a er weathering will gradually change colour, this is
normal.
