QUICK GUIDE FOR REBEL FOOT SLING USE
A)
IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE USING THE REBEL FOOT SLING:
Read this entire instruction set prior to use. Follow these instructions carefully whenever putting on,
wearing, adjusting, or removing the Rebel Therapeutics Foot Sling. Consult your physician if you are
unsure the Rebel Foot Sling is the proper device for your condition, pain persists, or you experience
significant discomfort.
To view a copy of these instructions online or obtain a download, visit our website at:
www.rebeltherapeutics.com
. A demonstration video is also available on the website, covering putting the
Rebel Foot Sling on, adjusting for proper tension, and removing the unit from the leg. Note: Parts are
lettered in the instructions and are shown in brackets, and can be found on the appropriate diagram as
indicated.
B)
PUTTING ON THE KNEE ASSEMBLY: (REFER TO DIAGRAM ONE)
1.
It is important to properly orient the Knee Assembly [B] for the Rebel Foot Sling to work properly.
Make certain the knee opening [N] in the front of the Knee Assembly aligns with the center of your
kneecap and Rebel Logo [K] is positioned upright. Wrap the Velcro Fasteners [L and M] around the
leg to ensure a snug connection with the Knee Assembly [B] and the knee.
2.
Tighten or loosen top and bottom Velcro support Fasteners [L and M] of the Knee Assembly [B] as
necessary to achieve a snug but comfortable position for maximum tension.
C)
CONNECTING THE TENSION STRAP TO THE SOCK ASSEMBLY: (REFER TO
DIAGRAM ONE)
1.
Thread the Tension Strap [C] through the Sock Strap Channel Guide [D] by opening velcro closure in
guide.
D)
PUTTING ON THE SOCK ASSEMBLY: (REFER TO DIAGRAM ONE)
1.
With the Tension Strap [C] already properly threaded through the Sock Strap Channel Guide [D]
under the Sock Assembly [A], slip the Sock Assembly [1] onto the foot, aligning the Sock Strap
Channel Guide [D] so that it is
positioned under the ball of the foot
. Shift the Sock Assembly [A] to
ensure the heel is also properly positioned,
while ensuring that the Sock Strap Channel Guide [9]
remains under the ball of the foot
.
2.
Check that the Tension Strap [C] is not twisted at any point. If it is, open the Sock Strap Channel
Guide [D] and untwist or flip the Tension Strap [C]. Then close to secure.
E)
CONNECTING THE TENSION ASSEMBLY TO THE KNEE ASSEMBLY: (REFER TO
DIAGRAM TWO)
1.
Take one side of the Tension Strap [C] connected to the Adjust Clamp [F] female quick connect [I] at
the end of the Tension Strap into the male quick connect [J] attached to the right side of the Knee
Assembly [B]. Push until connectors lock into place.
2.
Take the other side of the Tension Strap [C] and fasten to the opposite side of the Knee Assembly
[B]. If the Tension Strap [C] is twisted, unclip the quick connect [H] and, straighten the Tension Strap
[C] and re-clip the connector.
