Component Buttons
Once you’ve programmed the remote to
operate a component, you can start using
the buttons applicable to that component to
control the component. Remember that these
component buttons only work if the remote is
programmed to operate your component.
Note: The remote may not operate all models of
all brands.
(0-9) Number Buttons
Tunes the active
component to a channel.
ANTENNA
Switches between TV and VCR
signals in VCR mode (for some VCR brands),
or between TV and satellite receiver signals in
SAT•CABLE mode (for RCA satellite receivers).
Arrows (up, down, left, right)
Used to
move through the menu systems and program
guides for some components.
CH+/-
Change channels on the active
component. These buttons also work as
chapter/track skip buttons on some DVD
players and audio components.
GUIDE
For some components, this button
brings up an on-screen guide.
HOME•CLEAR
Removes any menu or
display from the screen and returns you to
normal viewing.
INFO
For some components, this button
brings up more information about what you’re
watching.
INPUT
In TV mode, this button toggles
through the TV’s available input sources. This
button does not work with all brands of TVs.
Indicator
This light is illuminated with each
valid button press. When programming the
remote control, it flashes or turns on or off to
indicate programming status.
MENU•OPTIONS
For some components,
displays the component’s on-screen menu.
