iNtENDED usE 

1. 

The lighting system is designed for retrofitting model airplanes and model helicopters. Fitting this product 

makes model airplanes and model helicopters look even more realistic and enhances their visual appearance. 

Thanks to its multi-coloured and flashing components, the lighting system enables safe navigation during 

night flights.

For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product 

for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can 

cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. 

Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. if 

you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, 

we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. such cases 

will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.

Persons / Product

The components are breakable. Always handle them with the greatest care.

Do not try pulling the plug on the cable. Always hold plug and socket with one hand each when connecting 

 

>

or disconnecting them from each other.

When fitting the product, take care that it never comes into contact with oil or water. The product is not 

 

>

waterproof.

Do not install the control unit in a position where strong vibrations may occur.

 

>

Install the LEDs and control unit 2 cm (minimum) away from the receiver. This prevents malfunctions.

 

>

The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

 

>

Protect  the  product  from  extreme  temperatures,  direct  sunlight,  strong  jolts,  high  humidity,  moisture, 

 

>

flammable gases, vapours and solvents.

Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.

 

>

If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any 

 

>

accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

is visibly damaged,

is no longer working properly, 

 

-

has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or 

 

-

has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

Also  observe  the  safety  and  operating  instructions  of  any  other  devices  which  are  connected  to  the

Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.

assEMBLy

For assembly, you will need modelling adhesive. This is not included in delivery.

When drilling, ensure no other components can be damaged. If in doubt, disassemble fragile 

components first, before starting to drill holes into the housing.

If you use the extension cables, hold the socket and plug in separate hands. Press the plug down, 

so that the safety pins disengage, before removing the plug from the socket.

Position  the  individual  LEDs  in  your  model  airplane  or  model  helicopter  exactly  as  illustrated  in  the

diagram.

Drill the holes carefully into the housing. The drill holes must have a diameter of 5 mm.

Insert the LEDs into the drill holes and fasten them with modelling adhesive.

Connect the LED cables to the control unit. Please find the detailed configuration in the table.

Extend the cables, if required, using the extension cables.

Fasten the lighting system’s control unit within the housing in a clean, dry and vibration-free position. For

example, use double-faced adhesive tape for the installation.

Plug the control unit’s Futaba J type plug into your receiver. Use a channel for a switch with 3 positions to

Secure all cables with cable ties.

Note  the  operating  instructions  of  your  receiver  and  your  remote  control  regarding  proper 

configuration.

The lighting system features three switchable modes.

 

>

It automatically detects the signal type (analogue or digital) and the switch type.

 

>

It can be operated by a switch with three positions, or by a switch with two positions, as required. When 

 

>

operating it using a switch with two positions, only two modes are selectable.

Mode 0: Off mode, all LEDs off

Mode 1: Flying mode, signal lighting on, landing light off

Mode 2: Landing mode, all lights on

If no PWM signal is detected, Mode 2 will be automatically activated.

If the PWM signal cannot be identified, the current mode will be kept.

In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and 

utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to 

relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.

The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as 

municipal waste.
