Provide the Raypak UL Listed E–4 Swimming Pool Alarm that shall monitor and give indication of an alarm condition
affecting its associated Swimming Pool Heater. The alarm module shall be solid state and shall be capable of
processing either 24 VAC or 120 VAC inputs.
It shall be equipped with LED's (Light emitting diodes)that indicate a signal present and shall be color coded as listed
below:
Power
Green: indicating the alarm unit is receiving power.
Pilot
Amber: indicating the pilot gas valve is open.
Main Gas
Green: indicating the main gas valve is open.
Safety Shutdown
Red: indicating that a safety shutdown has occurred.
Auxiliary Alarm
Red: (Optional Aux. Alarm) indicating that a safety shutdown has occurred after a
built-in user adjustable time delay has expired.
A 3" diameter and 4" diameter mechanical bell and a modulating electronic alarm buzzer shall sound when an alarm
condition occurs. A momentary switch shall silence the alarm bell and buzzer. The alarm signal will automatically
reset once the alarm condition has been corrected.
Provide a remote alarm panel with indicating light, electronic alarm buzzer and remote silencing switch.
The remote alarm panel shall mount in a 4" X 4" junction box up to 500 feet away from the alarm control panel.
The alarm module shall be suitable for wall or heater mounting up to 20 feet away from the associated heater and shall
be enclosed in a NEMA 3R rated rainproof enclosure. The enclosure shall be vandal resistant and shall be of a
gasketless mechanical seal design.
The alarm and heater shall be manufactured by the same company and shall carry single source responsibility.
