The following figure shows the typical scheme of a RAYLASE MINISCAN scan head with 
Dig.1 interface. Customer-specific modules are shown dashed. Other connection schemes can 
be found in the manual of the respective scan head.

2.4.3

LAN Interface

The SP-ICE 2 control card is designed as LAN component. Via PCI-bus it can be controlled 
from the PC, in which it is installed. Connected to a LAN, it can be controlled from every other 
PC within the same network. Normally the total communication with the connected PCs is per-
formed via the LAN interface. For stand-alone operation the SP-ICE 2 control card is equipped 
with an external LAN connector. The data transmission rate can be 10Mbit/s or 100Mbit/s.
